REGIS Belt Splicing Structure

Regis Resources·Regis Resources, Western Australia·2025
01

Challenge

Regis Resources required a belt splicing structure that could be fabricated and installed within a tight shutdown window, with accurate as-built modelling to ensure first-time fit.

02

Approach

We conducted 3D laser scanning of the existing conveyor area to capture precise as-built conditions, then modelled the belt splicing structure in 3D CAD before producing detailed fabrication drawings.

03

Engineering Process

  1. 1Site visit and 3D laser scan of the existing conveyor structure
  2. 2Point cloud processing and as-built 3D modelling
  3. 3Structural design of the belt splicing platform
  4. 4Detailed fabrication drawings for the workshop
  5. 5Review and approval with Regis Resources engineering team
04

Deliverables

  • 3D model of the belt splicing structure
  • Full set of fabrication drawings
  • As-built documentation of existing conditions
05

Outcome

The structure was fabricated and installed within the shutdown window with accurate first-time fit, reducing rework and minimising downtime.
